The musical storytelling event 'Yakobo i su Banda' is a performance by the Gogorobí Ensemble and Sheila Payne. The story is a Caribbean version inspired by "The town musicians of Bremen" written by the Grimm Brothers. The entourage for this performance is the premises of Landhuis Bloemhof, a country house built in 1735.

The ensemble will play a mix of Caribbean and Classical music using different instruments such as the local 'gogorobí', (gourd) steel-pan, clarinet and guitar. Storyteller Sheila Payne will guide you through this cultural experience, which is performed in Papiamentu, English and Dutch. The location of this event will add the element of history to this fusion of cultural couleur local as it is held at one of Curacao's oldest country houses.

Payne and her musicians will take you on a trip where music and storytelling merge and surpass cultural frontiers. Landhuis Bloemhof will be the historical spark on this adventure.

All that remains is an extraordinary experience that we would love to share with you!
